My experience, skills, and areas of expertise include 33 years of social service and professional counseling for several not-for-profit agencies, community organizations, and law enforcement. Over the course of those 33 years, I have worked with a wide variety of diverse populations and age groups from Pre K to Adults and Seniors. At the present time, I am a retired school counselor for the NYC Dept. of Education, where I was employed for the past 22years.
In addition to my career as a professional counselor and social worker, my theatrical and arts background includes singing and performing in shows since 1960. I am an original and founding member of the Exciters, a popular singing group from the 60's. More recently, I have performed as a member of The Super Girl Group, an oldies tribute group; with popular bands; and as a solo artist, as well as acting in community theater plays, and live radio shows. My passion for music, the arts in all its forms, counseling, and helping others, is what initially drew me to the expressive arts.
